Hello.
I am an incoming Polonsky Academy Fellow at the Van Leer Institute. I defended my doctoral dissertation in philosophy at the University of Pittsburgh in August. Before that, I completed my undergraduate work in philosophy at the University of Chicago and studied Latin at Princeton.
My research centers on the pursuit of happiness. I am currently writing on how to live when the good life is compromised or beyond reach. My work spans ethics, meta-ethics, and moral psychology, and engages with ancient Greek and Roman philosophy, 18th- through 20th-century European philosophy, and social and political philosophy.
