Teaching
I have teaching competencies in ethics (theoretical and applied), social and political philosophy, and the history of philosophy—particularly ancient Greek and Roman philosophy, as well as 18th- through 20th-century European philosophy.
At the University of Pittsburgh, I have taught seminars in ethics, bioethics, political philosophy, and ancient philosophy. Through the undergraduate mentoring program, I also launched and co-taught (with Aaron Abma) extracurricular seminars on specialized topics in ethics for advanced undergraduates.
At the University of Chicago, I taught pre-collegiate philosophy in a variety of school and enrichment settings through the Winning Words program. In that capacity, I spent several years teaching at the Lenart Regional Gifted Center and at City Elementary, a school dedicated to serving neurodiverse and special education students.
